Display Energy Certificates
DEC's will need to be displayed in all buildings that are frequently used by members of the public over a 1000m2. They are simply a measure of the Operational Rating of that building, based on previous energy consumptions and a comparison with other similar buildings to give the building its rating. The rating is then displayed on a graph with a scale of A to G.
Display Energy Certificates (DECS) are legislation and must be displayed within Public Buildings.
Is your building affected?
Note at present only buildings providing a Public service are legally required- such as Council buildings, Schools, Leisure Centres, hospitals etc, however many larger corporate clients have also decided to have one produced for their buildings without legally requiring one. They are thinking green, are you?
